That just seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen... And yeah, that would totally weird me out in the context of the workplace or a casual relationship.
Personally I prefer the elbow to elbow greeting (as demonstrated in Young Frankenstein) as my main form of salutation in business situations.
I hate shaking hands- I'm a hugger if I know ya. Why can't we just bow like the Asians? That never looks stupid.
